Provinces in the central region now have 10 new hydroelectric power plants with a combined capacity of 386.4 MW, of which five are still under construction.
The new plants in operation are at H’Chan, Dray-H’linh 2, Ea Krong Rau, Khe Dien and Binh Dinh, which can generate 71.6 MW.
The plants are expected not only to increase electricity sources for the central provinces, but also to reduce the chances of floods during the rainy season and droughts during the dry season.
