Iraqi officials say a series of bombings across Baghdad capital has killed at least 11 people and wounded more than 40 others.

Authorities said two of the blasts on October 12 were suicide bombings outside police stations, while a roadside bomb struck a police patrol.

The attacks follow a string of explosions Monday in the city that killed 10 people and wounded 19 others.

Violence in Iraq has fallen sharply since the height of sectarian fighting in 2006 and 2007, but bombings and shootings still occur regularly.
