The island district of Bach Long Vy in Hai Phong will hold early voting for 13th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Council elections for the 2011-2016 term on May 21, one day before the rest of the country votes.
Bach Long Vy district is currently getting ready for the 13th NA and People’s Council elections for the 2011-2016 term.
To prepare for the elections, the list of voters and candidates for the 13th NA and the People’s Council of Hai Phong and Bach Long Vy has been posted at six polling stations in the district.
Voters in Bach Long Vy district will elect 30 out of the 42 nominated candidates, 31 percent of whom are women.
Located nearly 150km from the mainland, Bach Long Vy district has disseminated voting information in all residential areas and cultural houses, as well as to ships and boats docking at the island.
