At least 15 people were detained and six injured, including four police officers from the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), on Thursday night in Buenos Aires during a clash at the Constitution train station, police sources said.

Four police officers were hit by stones, and were transferred to the Churruca hospital. The two injured civilians were reporters and were taken to the Argerich hospital.

The detainees were taken to police stations within the train station.

The clash took place seven hours after train service was interrupted by a group of workers who were fired.

A violent group took advantage of the confusion and began to attack the station with rocks, set a door on fire, and raided businesses.

Transport Minister Juan Pablo Schiavi said that President Christina Fernandez gave the order to investigate who is responsible for these acts, and said that service will not be reinstated until authorities check the railway tracks in order to protect passengers' security.
