A meeting to discuss the development of a project to set up the Hue Music Institute was held in Hanoi on June 14.

Representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ministry of Education and Training, the People’s Committee of central province of Thua Thien Hue and Hue Arts University attended the meeting.

According to the draft project, the institute will train performing artists, music composers, critics, and teachers of music with post graduate, tertiary and secondary degrees.

The institute is under the Ministry of Culture and Information.
