The fifth Vietnam Transport and Motor Technology Show (Autotech 2009), jointly held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Asia Trade Fair and Business Promotion, opened in Hanoi on October 16.

Nguyen Thanh Bien, Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry, said Autotech 2009 creates an arena for imported cars and motorbikes.

This is the first exhibition that showcases a wide range of cars, from economy to luxury, featuring famous makes from Europe, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and China such as BMW, Land Rover, Peugeot, Lexus, Audi, Chrysler, Honda and Mazda.

The event has attracted many domestic automobile dealers eager to check out the latest models.

In the field of motorbikes, Autotech 2009 introduces two new Italian models: the Ala, distributed by Ala bike, and the Adiva by City Bike. There is also a luxurious Taiwanese model, the Maxsuki, distributed by Davina.

In addition, this year’s show has nearly 80 stalls for supporting industry and service. The products on display include spare parts, car interiors, lubricants, additives, clean fuels, banking and insurance.
