The northern mountainous province of Cao Bang opened the 2007 Friendship Border Tourism Festival in Cao Bang town on May 14 with the aim of promoting local tourism and mutual understanding between Cao Bang and the Chinese province of Guangxi.

Attendants at the opening ceremony included the two provinces’ authorities and enterprise representatives.

Visitors to the festival can view many beauty spots, get to know about traditional culinary arts, and seek cooperation opportunities with Guangxi and Cao Bang’s businesses.

Also on the occasion, the 2007 Cao Bang International Trade-Tourism Fair was launched to display consumer products made by enterprises from China and Vietnam.
