The potential for Vietnam has to become a regional entertainment hub is highlighted by an agreement reached to investigate the feasibility of establishing MGM-branded theme parks and attractions in the country.

The EMHI Land Corporation (EL) announced on March 4 that the agreement reached with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios’ Location Based Entertainment (LBE) division would allow it to identify locations and entities in Vietnam for proposed LBE projects.

EL chairman Allen Wu said the agreement strategically situates the company to “play a significant role in ASEAN.”

EHMI Corporation is a US-based holding company with main operations in Vietnam, covering real estate, hospitality, mining and infrastructure.

The corporation, via its operating subsidiaries, intends to develop multiple 300-500ha townships anchored with globally branded theme parks throughout Vietnam.
