The central province of Quang Ngai, alongside two other central localities, is likely to be chosen by the World Bank (WB) to host a project to modernize the land administration system in Vietnam.

Speaking at a recent meeting with a WB delegation on the Vietnam Land Administration Project, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai provincial People's Committee Truong Ngoc Nhi pledged to fulfill what the government has agreed with the financial institution.

The two sides discussed the difficulties in land administration and other issues related to human resource training and facility upgrading.

The project, which will use the WB's official development assistance (ODA) funding, aims to develop a transparent land management system and increase the community's access to land information.

In the initial stage, it will help target provinces perfect their land maps and improve their land management skills.
