Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed a decision on May 22 to establish a new border economic zone in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

The A Dot Border Economic Zone is located in the communes of A Roang, A Dot and Huong Lam in Thua Thien-Hue’s mountainous district of A Luoi.

The 10.184ha zone includes land for trade, industry, tourism, services, agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, and an urban residential area.

Investment projects in the zone will be exempt from corporate income tax for four years, followed by a 50 percent reduction of tax in the next nine years, according to the decision.
