A concert of chamber music will be performed by Vietnamese and French artists at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatoire at 8pm on March 6.

The performance is to promote cultural development and cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatoire and the Consulate General of France in HCM City.

The event will spotlight famous French violinist GS Sylvie Gazeau who has won many prizes in international competitions in Barcelona, London and Montreal, and has performed and taught in the US, Japan and China. Since 1985, she has been a professor at the Paris Conservatoire and is now the art director for Vatelot-Rampal violin competition.

Other performers include French cellist Jerome Lefranc and Vietnamese artists such as violinists Nguyen Huu Nguyen, Le Tri Toan, and Nguyen Truc Thuyen, viola players Tran Hoang Yen, and Pham Hai Long, cellist Vu Thanh Hao, pianist Le Ho Hai and clarinetist Nguyen Tuan Loc.
