A folk art troupe from the midland province of Phu Tho has performed in the Republic of Korea’s city of Hwaseong since December 22. This is the first time Phu Tho’s folk art programmes have been introduced to its twin city.

The troupe has 15 members, including 10 artists from the provincial centre of culture and information and its traditional opera troupe.

This is a chance to promote the cultural values of age-old Phu Tho in particular and Vietnam in general as well as tightening the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK), said Ngo Minh Toan, Vice Director of the centre.

The troupe will conclude their performances in the RoK on December 26.
