The Government Office has asked ministries, sectors and provincial and municipal People’s Committees to strictly implement the Prime Minister’s instructions on the implementation of the Law on Thrift Practice and Wastefulness Prevention.

Accordingly, the PM requested ministries, sectors, cities and provinces to take specific measures, alongside close inspection, to help people know and effectively implement the law, which came into effect on June 1.

He asked the Ministry of Finance to finalise, submit and issue legal documents guiding the implementation of the law, while monitoring the implementation of the Government’s programme of action on thrift practice and wastefulness prevention by ministries, sectors, localities and State Corporations. The ministry was asked to dispatch inspection missions to localities to evaluate the formulation and implementation of the programme of action, and propose timely amendments to ensure the effective implementation of the law.
