The commitment was made by Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh while receiving Laos’ Party Politburo member and Vice President Bounnhang Volachit in Hanoi on March 30.

Mr Manh expressed delight at the positive development of the Vietnam-Laos special relationship and thanked the Party, State and people of Laos for the great assistance they have extended to Vietnam.

Volachit, who is also permanent member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, informed his host of the results of the implementation of the Lao Party’s recent resolutions and earlier talks and working sessions with Vietnam leaders.

The official said Laos will join hands with Vietnam to continue nurturing the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and people.
