Ten Vietnamese women who distinguished themselves in various fields will be honoured at a ceremony to be held at the Thong Nhat (Reunification) Palace in HCM City on June 18 to mark National Family Day (June 28).

Belonging to different generations, the women have had an impact in their communities with their lives.

The ceremony, called "The women who touch us deeply", was initiated by the Vietnam Economic Times, and is expected to take place annually.

Under the programme, a roundtable forum on problems women face in modern life will be also held. The forum is led by local and foreign psychologists, sociologists and cultural researchers.
