Central Thua Thien-Hue province has attracted 54 foreign-invested projects to its Chan May-Lang Co economic zone, with some projects getting off the ground.

Noteworthy is a project on construction material production of Australia's Alcal company, which has earned US$70.7 million from exports so far this year, representing 58.4 percent of the province's total export turnover.

To push up foreign investment, the province has been simplifying administrative procedures, and given more incentives in land rent, taxes, labour force and other policies.
