Since January 2010, Vietnam has organised the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) and related meetings in Da Nang City and Senior Officials Meetings in Ho Chi Minh City.

Sub-committees and the Secretariat have got down to work on summit contents, organisation, protocol, logistics, communications, security and health care, and are putting the finishing touches to the last preparations for the event.

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem, who is also head of the committee, asked parties concerned to cooperate closely to ensure the success of the summit and other activities of the ASEAN Year 2010.

Vietnam is chairing ASEAN in 2010.
