Vietnam and Iran have developed good relations in various fields, and Iranian Vice President Mohammad Ali Abadi’s visit to Vietnam this time will further enhance bilateral friendship and cooperation, said National Assembly (NA) Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong while receiving Mr Abadi in Hanoi on April 18.

The Iranian Vice President informed his host about the results of his talks with Vietnamese State Vice President Truong My Hoa and Minister and Chairman of the National Sports and Physical Training Committee Nguyen Danh Thai. Both sides reached many important agreements, particularly in the field of sports and physical training.

 

Mr Abadi expressed his delight at visiting Vietnam at a time when the country has been developing strongly in various fields under the correct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He conveyed best regards from Iranian leaders to Mr Trong and other Vietnamese Party and State leaders.

 

For his part, NA Chairman Trong thanked the Iranian guest for his good sentiments towards Vietnam, and expressed his hope that the Iranian Vice President’s visit to Vietnam this time will further enhance bilateral friendship and cooperation. He invited the Iranian President and the Iranian Parliamentary Speaker to visit Vietnam at a convenient time.
