The ‘Duo Huillet’ will perform classical music at the Hanoi Opera House on January 13 and at the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (Idecaf) in Ho Chi Minh City two days later.
The duet, including violinist Clara Cernat and pianist Thierry Huillet, is one of well-known pairs of duos.
Before meeting each other, they graduated with top honours in their countries, France and Romania, and won several prestigious prizes.
Thierry Huillet won first prize at the Casadesus International Piano competition in Cleveland, Ohio, in the US and Clara Cernat won first prize at a J.S. Bach competition in Paris, France.
In 1996, they were invited to perform together at the International Music Festival of Sion in Switzerland and have quickly risen to fame ever since.
