Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has been feeded in the top 5 of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) for the first time with 51,884 points, according to the federation’s latest men’s rankings.
Minh is also one of the players to have leapt up from 8th position.
Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei still leads the rankings, followed by Peter Hoeg Gade from Denmark and Taufik Hidayat from Indonesia.
In the women’s rankings, Tine Baun from Denmark is number one seeded while India’s Saina Nehwal is number two and China’s Yihan Wang number three.
