The Bac Ninh provincial Department of Culture and Information, in cooperation with the Institute of Culture and Information has basically completed a file to submit to the UNESCO for recognition of Bac Ninh folk song as an oral and intangible masterpiece of humanity.
The department is finalising its remaining work, including a scientific report, a video clip, an album to introduce Bac Ninh folk songs, a bulletin of an international seminar on preserving and promoting Bac Ninh folk songs.
The department is expected to send its report on Bac Ninh folk songs to the National Cultural Heritage Council before submitting the file to the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Government.
