In 1911, President Ho left Vietnam to seek ways for national salvation. Thirty years later, on January 28, 1941, he set foot at Pac Bo, Cao Bang province, marking his return to the country.
In her speech, secretary of the Cao Bang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Nuong said President Ho's return was of great significance towards the success of the Vietnamese revolution. She said the historic event clearly reflected President Ho’s great role in the country’s revolutionary cause, serving as a source of encouragement to Cao Bang people to boost local socio-economic development.
Earlier, local people, youth union members and participants at the meeting offered incense to Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Statue and visited Ho Chi Minh Memorial House inside the Pac Bo Historical Relic.
