Boat capsizes in Quang Ninh as two recused and four go missing
VOV.VN - Four people went missing after a bamboo boat capsized on Chanh river in Quang Yen Town in the northern province of Quang Ninh on the early morning April 25 as a result of fierce thunderstorms.
According to initial information from the scene, the bamboo boat owned by Nguyen Thi Tuyen had been carrying six women from Phong Hai ferry wharf to Ha An ferry wharf to go fishing when it overturned at 5 a.m.
Two of them were successfully able to swim to the riverbank, while the other four have yet to be found.
The four missing victims resided in Quang Yen Town.
Following the incident, local authorities immediately mobilised more than 250 people and 12 boats to search for the remaining victims.
