Ho Chi Minh City exhibition highlights Dien Bien Phu Victory milestones

VOV.VN -As many as 97 photographs highlighting the significance, stature, and value of the Dien Bien Phu Victory over French colonialism 70 years ago are on display at an exhibition which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 3.

The exhibition is part of events that are getting underway to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - 2024).

All of the exhibits demonstrate the strength of the great national solidarity bloc, the clear-sighted leadership of the Party, and the growth of the military, all of which are seen as locomotives for the nation’s renewal, development and international integration.

The exhibition is set to run from May 3 to 12 in three venues - Nguyen Hue Street, Dong Khoi Street in District 1, and the area opposite Chi Lang Park.

Furthermore, Dong Khoi street is also hosting a photograph exhibition featuring the culture and tourism of northwestern region.

Through the event, visitors will have the chance to tour around sightseeing spots which are associated with the Dien Bien Phu Victory, such as Muong Phang Forest, a relic of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign; and Fansipan peak, the roof of Indochina.
