The central city of Da Nang on June 2 held a meeting in Son Tra district to celebrate the World Ocean Day (June 8) and the Vietnam Sea and Island Week.
The Vietnam Sea and Island Week was launched in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the local People’s Committee on May 31.
A series of activities in response to World Environment Day (June 5) and Vietnam Sea and Island Week (June 1-8) will be held nationwide, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment announced at a press conference in Hanoi on May 25.
A meeting was held in central Quang Ngai province on June 8 to mark the World Oceans Day and the Vietnam Sea and Island Week and advocate the preservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
More than 1,000 students from the Nha Trang University in central Khanh Hoa province attended a meeting promoting World Oceans Day (June 8) and the 2015 Vietnam Sea and Island Week on June 6.
A series of activities will be organized in central provinces from June 1-8 to mark the World Oceans Day and the Vietnam Sea and Island Week 2013.
