The Lao Government on March 18 presented the Vietnamese Health Ministry with Laos’ first class Issara (Freedom) Order to recognize its valuable contributions to the Lao health sector.
At the award ceremony in Vientiane, Lao Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad expressed the Lao people’s deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Health Ministry and its medical experts and workers for their great assistance.
He stressed that this assistance has contributed to the Lao people’s past struggle for national liberation and their current process of national construction and defence.
Vietnamese Health Minister Nguyen Quoc Trieu thanked the Lao government for the honour and pledged to implement bilateral agreements to strengthen the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam.
