The Vietnamese team comprises six boys and two girls aged between 10 and 11, who were outstanding performers of the HCMC School Football Tournament 2018-2019 jointly held by Nestlé’s Milo brand and the HCMC Football Federation.

To represent Vietnam at the ongoing Milo Champions Cup, they bested more than 1,600 competitors from 118 primary schools citywide. These young players have not only great passion for football but also excellent personal skills, effective teamwork, strong ambitions, and high determination.

The Vietnamese team will join nine other teams from across Asia, Africa and the Americas to battle it out at this five-a-side tournament, which is part of the partnership between Nestlé’s Milo brand and FC Barcelona to promote physical activities and healthier lifestyles among children.

The participating teams must include boys and girls and the rules state that at least one female player must be on the pitch for each team at all times.

The event also includes training sessions with Barca Academy at Ciutat Esportiva training ground where kids will learn the football methodology, philosophy and values of FC Barcelona.
