The national team currently have a total of 1,258 points, placing them as the 14th best team in Asia and the 94th best team globally.
The recently released rankings confirm that the leading teams in Asia are Japan, closely followed by Iran, the Republic of Korea, Australia, Asian Cup winners Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
With regards to Southeast Asia, Vietnam lead the way in the latest global rankings, followed by Thailand in second place at 113th in the world. The region’s third best team are the Philippines who have been placed at 124th in the global rankings.
Moving down the list Myanmar are ranked at 136th, with Malaysia at 154th, Singapore at 157th, Indonesia at 173rd, Cambodia at 173rd, Laos at 188th, Brunei at 191st, and Timor-Leste at 196th.
At the top of the latest FIFA rankings there is no change with Belgium keeping hold of their top spot with 1,765 points, followed by France on 1,733 points. Rounding off the top 10 teams are Brazil, England, Uruguay, Croatia, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, and Colombia.
