Due to the fears surrounding the recent outbreak of the coronavirus, the nation’s sporting schedule has been forced to face delays, with the start of the upcoming V-League 1 season being pushed back, whilst both the National Cup and Super Cup 2020 have also been forced to change their dates.
In line with the new schedule, the V-League 1 will commence on March 7 and conclude on October 24.
In addition, the start date for the new V-League 2 season will now be on March 14 with the season ending on September 27.
Moreover, the National Cup 2020 is now scheduled to begin on April 3 with the competition’s final set to be played on October 31.
The Super National Cup between V-League 1 champions Hanoi FC and National Cup runners-up Ho Chi Minh City is now to be held at the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on March 1.
The VFF have also made suggestions that the VPF consider changing the date of the ninth round of V-League 2 matches which is currently scheduled to take place between June 12 and June 14 due to fixtures involving Vietnam’s U21 national team.
