During the course of the season Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC finished first with 53 points, a huge 13 point lead over second place Pho Hien FC.

In the final fixture of the season, Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC had to come through a home tie against Long An FC. The home side, led by head coach Pham Minh Duc, appeared determined going into the last game of the season.

As the away side, Long An FC’s footballers appeared determined to secure a finish in the league’s top three.

Long An FC started brightly with Anh Tu opening the scoring for the away team in the 40th minute.

During the second half Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC brought on Xuan Tu. The substitute had the chance to equalize for the hosts but failed to convert his chance.

Striker Tuan Hai (L) scored the host’s first goal to level the score line in the 86th minute. Two minutes later he added another to secure the win for Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC.

The final score finished 2-1 in favour of Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC who lifted the championship title.

The local supporters shared their delight at the team’s achievement.

As the league winners, Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC receive VND1 billion and will play next season in the V-League.
