Hoang Nam reaches quarterfinals of M25 Hong Kong Men’s Futures

VOV.VN - Ly Hoang Nam, Vietnam’s highest ranked tennis player, has qualified for the quarterfinals in the men's singles category at the ongoing M25 Hong Kong Men’s Futures tournament.

Nam, ATP No.409, recorded a 2-0 victory over Ayap Sagadat of Kazakhstan on June 13 and will take on Indian rival Rawat Sidharth, ATP No.492, in the tournament’s next round.


If the Vietnamese tennis player is able to beat Rawat Sidharth, he will then compete against Mochizuki of Japan, ATP No.621. In the tournament’s second match, Nam was forced to withdraw against Mochizuki after suffering from health problems.

The total cash prize for the tournament stands at US$25,000.

In addition to making the quarterfinals, the nation’s highest ranked tennis player enjoyed further happiness receiving the news that he will go straight into the main rounds of the ATP Fergana Challenger, which will be held  from June 16-23 in Uzbekistan.

The total prize money for the tournament will be US$54,000.
