|Ho Chi Minh City FC named as most valuable football club in Vietnam
The combined total value of the 14 football clubs competing in the V.League 1 in the 2020 season is EUR7.73 million, with Ho Chi Minh City FC topping the list with a market value of an estimated EUR1.43 million.
Capital-based clubs Hanoi FC and Viettel FC are just behind the southern outfit in joint-second place, each with a value of EUR975,000.
In third position is Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) FC who are valued at EUR675,000.
Thanh Hoa FC are down in fourth with value of EUR575,000, closely followed by Duoc Nam Ha Nam Dinh FC in fifth with a value of EUR525,000.
Moving down the list is Quang Nam FC at EUR475,000, SHB Danang FC at EUR450,000, whilst both Song Lam Nghe An FC and Haiphong FC are valued at EUR350,000 each.
Than Quang Ninh FC and Sai Gon FC are ranked joint-bottom of the list with a value of EUR200,000 each.
At present, each of the 14 clubs are preparing to participate in the National Cup 2020, which is set to get underway on May 23 with a match between Duoc Nam Ha Nam Dinh and HAGL scheduled to be the nation’s first professional football game since the return of football following a pause due to the novel coronavirus.
