VND125 billion more donated for COVID-19 fight

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on March 24 received VND125 billion donated by individual and organisations to support the country’s fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic.

VFF Central Committee President Tran Thanh Man said he alone received VND10 billion from Toyota Vietnam, VND2 billion from Vietnam Social Insurance, VND1.5 billion from Hung Tuy Interior Decoration Showroom, VND200 million from HIen Duct Joint Stock Company, VND20 million and 2,000 face masks from BIC Group.

He thanked the donors for the donations and said any domestic and international support will be vital to the country’s success of the fight against the coronavirus.

Man expressed his hope that the business community will continue to provide more support for the fight to help the country fulfil the “twin” target set by the PM that is bringing the epidemic under full control and realizing socio-economic development targets.

In response to the VFF Central Committee’s appeal launched recently, Vingroup the same day decided to donate VND100 billion to purchase equipment for epidemic prevention.
