Vietnam grabs one gold, four silver medals at IMO

VOV.VN - Vietnam won one gold, four silver and one bronze medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2016, which is taking place in Hong Kong on July 6-16.

A gold medal came to Vu XuanTrung, a grade 12 student of the Gifted School in Thai Binh province while four silver medals were presented to Dao Vu Quang, a grade 12 student of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School; Pham Nguyen Manh, a grade 11 student of High School for the Gifted, HCM City National University; Hoang Anh Dung, a grade 12 student at Lam Son Secondary School in Thanh Hoaprovince and Le Nhat Hoang, a grade 12 student at Le Quy Don Gifted School in Binh Dinh province.

Vu Duc Tai, a grade 12 student at Le Hong Phong Gifted School in Nam Dinh, bagged a bronze medal.

IMO 2016 drew 602 contestants, including 71 female students, from 109 countries in the world.
