The crewmembers had an exchange with about 30 children, who were born with birth defects. They taught the children how to draw and paint a picture and played football together. A music performance was also held at the event.
The visit is a part of activities under the framework of its Pacific Partnership Programme 2018 (PP18) from May 17 – June 2.
Apart from the US and Japan, PP18 includes the UK, Canada, France, Australia, Sri Lanka, Chile, Peru and several local, regional and international organisations.
