Unilever Vietnam funds sanitation, healthcare projects

(VOV) - The Unilever Vietnam Fund (UVF) announced on August 5 that it will finance sanitation and public healthcare projects in 2013.

The UVF campaign aims to improve the living conditions of Vietnamese people, especially those living in rural and mountainous areas.

The funded projects will focus on clean water, with initiatives to be introduced to protect and save water sources from being polluted, helping to increase the number of clean water users and maintain a healthy and sustainable future for the community.

The campaign will also give priority to projects which benefit women and children in remote and mountainous areas.

President of Unilever Vietnam and UVF, JV Raman, said he hopes to receive many outstanding projects to bring practical benefits for Vietnamese people in the long term.

The deadline for applications is October 5, 2013.
