Three suspected cases of COVID-19 in Hanoi come back negative

VOV.VN - The Hanoi Department of Health has announced that three suspected cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection have returned negative test results after checks were carried out on patients.

The three suspected cases involve one patient in Thach That district of Hanoi, in addition to a further two in Hai Phong and Nghe An province.

In total, 77 cases have tested negative for the COVID-19 in the capital, whilst a further 64 people are remaining in quarantine as they undergo strict monitoring.

As of February 21, the nation has recorded 16 cases of the COVID-19 infection, with 15 of the 16 cases being successfully cured and discharged from hospital.

Most notably, a 73-year-old Vietnamese American man who had been infected with the COVID-19 was cured and discharged from the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

According to the Ministry of Health, there are still an additional 28 cases nationwide where patients have been put into isolation and are undergoing strict monitoring as a means of avoiding the virus from spreading to the wider community.

Vinh Phuc, Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, and Thanh Hoa all represent localities where cases of the COVID-19 have been recorded.

Indeed, Vinh Phuc province has seen 11 cases of infection with 10 patients being cured, while in Ho Chi Minh City, three cases have been successfully cured and discharged.
