The 22nd and 23rd patients were both UK citizens who had entered the country on flight VN0054 from London to Hanoi before being diagnosed with the virus on March 8.
The two UK nationals are believed to have traveled to a number of tourist destinations across the country, including Da Nang, before contracting the disease. Indeed, it was during the pair’s trip to the central city that they visited the Dien May Xanh electronics store and interacted with a saleswoman who later tested positive for the COVID-19.
The 29-year-old saleswoman, a resident of Da Nang, was identified as the nation’s 35th COVID-19 case on March 10.
Each of the patients have subsequently gone on to test negative for the virus three times, whilst showing no signs of symptoms such as a fever, a cough, or shortness of breath.
In addition to the three patients, Da Nang Hospital is currently providing treatment for three additional cases of the coronavirus.
