|The first-ever summer camp for Vietnamese students was organised in 2013.
The event aims to create a fun environment for Vietnamese students abroad and strengthen solidarity among them.
Vietnamese students aged 15 and above are eligible for the summer camp. They will have the chance to take part in a variety of games, a range of sports, and partake in special art performances during the event.
Dinh Minh Hai of the overseas Vietnamese association in Kiev said through the summer programme, young people will have the opportunity to get closer to nature. In fact, for the duration of the camp, the youngsters aren’t allowed access to the internet or to social networks.
Instead the young people will have to rely on social interactions and boost empathy towards one another during the camp. These actions are expected to help them bond better as a group, he noted.
This year will mark the second time that the summer camp has been held. It was held for the first time in Kharkov city in Ukraine back in 2013.
