Through the program, the Vietnam Cross Society hopes to mobilise people nationwide to join hands to support poor families, Agent Orange (AO) victims and people who have been affected by natural disasters, to enjoy the upcoming Lunar New Year or Tet.

The scheme will allow benefactors from across the country to text TET to 1409 between December 9 and February 7, 2020, with messages costing VND20,000 each. Moreover, to show their support for the program, organisers have stated that there is no limit on the number of messages each subscriber can send.

In conjunction with the National Humanitarian Portal of 1400, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society has been running the program since 2012. Since its inception, the program has served to help tens of millions of poor people and AO victims enjoy Tet.

Recently, the Vietnam Red Cross Society has called on generous donations across the nation in order to raise over VND 600 million to support underprivileged families and AO victims celebrate Tet.
