PRD briefs media on Royal Barge Procession broadcast

The Royal Barge Procession will taker place on October 24 as part of the Royal Coronation Ceremonies 2019. The Public Relations Department has held a seminar for members of the media to ensure the accuracy of information.

The Public Relations Department (PRD) Deputy Director General Tassanee Pholchaniko opened a media seminar on the Royal Barge Procession.

The seminar is aimed at ensuring proper communication among members of the media, including television, radio, publications and online media. There were 120 participants from Thai and international media agencies.

Experts on related subjects gave lectures on media facilitation for recording the ceremony, the formation of the royal barges on the river, facilities for the general public attending the ceremony and protocols for camera operators.

For the ceremony, the PRD has allocated 4 dedicated photo and filming locations for members of the media, at Santichaiprakarn Park, under Somdet Phra Pinklao Bridge, the Royal Thai Naval Institute, and at Rot Fai Pier. These four locations can accommodate a total of some 200 people.
