Nation confirms no fresh COVID-19 cases, 15 in treatment left

VOV.VN - With no new case confirmed, July 5 marks the 80th day in a row Vietnam has recorded no single new COVID-19 infection caused by community transmission, while there are only 15 patients left in treatment, according to the Ministry of Health.

The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said that the country has recorded a total of 215 active cases returning from epidemic-hit nations and were placed in quarantine upon entry, posing no risk of local transmission. 

Among the total 355 confirmed cases so far, up to 340 or 95.8 percent of all cases have fully recovered from the disease and discharged, with no deaths recorded as a result of the virus so far.

Most of the 15 remaining patients under treatment are in stable health condition, with three having tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus at least twice.

As many as 11,466 people are currently being placed in isolation for health monitoring including 107 at hospitals and the remainder at other quarantine facilities, and at accommodations.
