There was nothing fire crews could do to stop the flames, say firefighters. About all that's left of the 2,000-square metre facility is charred wood and twisted metal.
Witnesses report the shop erupted into flames at around 10:00 a.m.
By the time firefighters arrived heavy smoke and flames could be seen billowing from the building. Forklifts were also brought in to salvage as much lumber and other inventory as possible.
Firefighters said they had to break into the workshop by destroying the exterior walls in order to get the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
