Lao Cai moves to isolate recently returned Vietnamese citizens from China

VOV.VN - Since the emergence of the novel coronavirus epidemic in China approximately 100 Vietnamese citizens studying and working in the northern neighbour have returned to the country through the Lao Cai International Border Gate.

Vietnamese citizens are provided with a screening health-check up at Lao Cai General Hospital. 
Among the Vietnamese arriving back into the nation a total of 57 were residents of Lao Cai, with the remaining 39 originating from other provinces.

Upon their return, all of the citizens were provided with a screening health-check up at Lao Cai General Hospital, before being put into isolation areas at the Lao Cai Military School for a total of 14 days.

The move sees each of the individuals provided with accommodation, while medical workers have begun to strictly monitor each citizen's health conditions, starting from February 4.

Through this close supervision, a total of ten people suffering from a fever were successfully detected in a timely manner and were subsequently put into quarantine areas in order to undergo special monitoring and treatment.
