The police stopped a suspicious car, registered 29D-412.72, being driven by Luu Duc Quan of Dong Dang town, on April 8.
Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, police discovered 10,000 different types of cosmetic products, such as shampoos, hair dyes, hair treatment creams, and facial exfoliating gels, which were registered as overseas products.
Notably, a large quantity of baby shower gel labelled with the well-known brand Johnson’s Baby were also found.
The seized items are suspected to be counterfeit goods belonging to trademark products that are currently being protected in Vietnam.
The total value of the shipment is estimated to be VND300 million.
When questioned, the driver failed to provide documents clarifying the origins of the products in the vehicle.
The case is being investigated further.
