Hanoi's Health Department has also devised a detailed plan in case any fevers or symptoms of acute pneumonia caused by nCoV are discovered at Noi Bai International Airport.
Those infected will be taken to isolation treatment facilities either at Bac Thang Long Hospital, Duc Giang General Hospital, and Dong Da General Hospital to receive timely treatment.
In light of an increasing number of nCoV cases being detected, Hanoi is aiming to strengthen the supervision placed on all incoming passengers, especially those arriving from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
Passengers are to be monitored through remote body temperature scanners as a means of attempting early detection and put into isolation if necessary.
At the International Health Quarantine Zone of Noi Bai International Airport, information on the disease will be given out in order to raise public awareness about the disease.
At present, there are approximately 10 flights between China and Noi Bai daily, with all arrivals from China being strictly monitored via body temperature scanners.
In order to effectively respond to the threat of the disease spreading, Hien has requested that the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control ensure that body temperature scanners are in operation, while isolation rooms with necessary emergency equipment are ready for any possible scenarios.
The Hanoi Center for Disease Control has also worked to speed up disease surveillance among the community by co-ordinating efforts with hotel owners throughout the city to detect any people that show symptoms of acute pneumonia caused by nCoV and report it to health stations, so treatment can be undertaken in a timely manner.
