The Ho Chi Minh City High Command will be taking responsibility for the deployment of quarantine areas throughout the field hospital, with the site being located inside the southern city’s Military School in Nhuan Duc commune of Cu Chi district.

The municipal Department of Health will be responsible for setting up a framework aimed at managing isolated areas, whilst the process of admitting patients will fall under the guidance of the Ministry of Health.

During the first phase of the hospital’s operation, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases will be responsible for the site’s professional medical workers, while the Ho Chi Minh City High Command will mobilise other personnel as a means of supporting all relevant activities.

Doctors and nurses coming from other districts will also be alternately working at the field hospital, with their shifts being dependent on the ongoing situation regarding the development of the epidemic in the southern metropolis.

The immediate future will likely see the field hospital receive isolated cases or move to treat patients who display symptoms such as a fever or severe cough.
