Following the release from the medical centre, the female patient, known only as the nation’s 312nd case, is enjoying a stable health condition. Indeed, she is currently not displaying any symptoms of the virus such as a fever, a cough, or shortness of breath.
The patient was successful released from the No. 2 Hospital in Quang Ninh province after going on to record several consecutive negative tests for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the COVID-19 disease.
The 40-year old Vietnamese patient, a resident of Ba Dinh district in Hanoi, was among 24 COVID-19 patients confirmed after returning from epidemic hit Russia on flight VN0062, landing at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh on May 13.
Flight VN0062 had a total of 345 passengers and crew members on board who were all placed into concentrated quarantine areas in the provinces of Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, and Hai Duong upon their arrival in line with regulations.
Once at the various quarantine facilities, samples were taken from every passenger, with 23 of the new arrivals being transferred to Thai Binh General Hospital, while the nation’s 312nd patient was transferred to the No. 2 Hospital in Quang Ninh province.
At present, Vietnam has recorded a total of 325 COVID-19 cases, of which 268 have gone on to make a full recovery and been successfully discharged from hospital.
