The village, 15 km of the Ialy hydropower plant, was the last area of Chu Pah district to be connected to the national grid.
The connection is a result of a project which started this June. With investment worth more than VND1 billion (about US$43,000), the project installed some 1.2 km of electric lines and a transformer station.
Upon the completion of the project, local authorities have worked to raise public awareness of safe and efficient electricity utilisation, said Tang Van Dung, Deputy Director of Power Chu Pah.
To date, 99.8% of residents in Gia Lai province have access to electricity.
