The agreement to this effect was signed in Hanoi on June 18 the Denmark Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, Danish and Vietnamese experts will analyze Vietnam’s energy system and build a new strategy for energy development to present to the Vietnamese Government.
Both countries hope to join hands to improve energy efficiency and use renewable energy to minimize the effects of climate change.
Denmark has been supporting Vietnam in implementing National Target Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy Program (VNEEP), which aims to save 5-8% of total energy consumption in the country.
Additionally, Denmark has assisted Vietnam’s small-and-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to use energy more efficiently.
